Step 1: Cut out a paper doll, like the one on the front page.

 

Step 2: Make sure that there is at least one other person doing this charm with you.

 

Step 3: Let each person grab a piece of the doll. Make sure you, and the others have a tight grip on the piece. Dig your finger nails into it, if you have to.

 

Step 4: In your head, repeat; "Please Sachiko." 9 times. no more, no less, otherwise the charm will fail.

 

Step 5: After you, and everyone else has fully said it 9 times, each person will pull until the doll rips. Do not let it slip out of your grasp, until your piece is torn off all the way!

 

Step 6: Each person gets their own piece of the doll, to hold onto forever, thus making them friends for life, provided the charm doesn't fail.
